The Safety Protection Role of J1939 Cable in High Voltage Systems of New Energy Commercial Vehicles
The high-voltage system of new energy commercial vehicles, such as power batteries and drive motors, has strict requirements for the safety and high voltage resistance of cables. J1939 cables have been specially designed to become the core communication component in this field.

In response to the insulation requirements of new energy commercial vehicles in high-voltage environments, J1939 cables adopt a double-layer insulation structure, with an inner layer of high-voltage resistant polyimide film and an outer layer of oil resistant polyvinyl chloride material. The double insulation design effectively prevents the risk of high-voltage leakage and ensures the safety of drivers, passengers, and vehicles. In addition, the cable conductor adopts a high-purity oxygen free copper stranded structure, which has excellent conductivity and good heat dissipation, and can avoid conductor overheating problems caused by excessive current in high-voltage environments.
In practical applications, J1939 cable is adapted to the power battery management system (BMS) of new energy commercial vehicles, achieving precise transmission of key data such as battery cell voltage, temperature, SOC (State of Charge), etc. The transmission delay is controlled within 10ms, providing data support for BMS to adjust charging and discharging strategies in real time, ensuring the safe operation of high-voltage systems and improving the endurance of new energy commercial vehicles, promoting the industrialization development of new energy commercial vehicles.
