The joint of J1939 cable is a weak link in the communication system. The harsh working conditions such as vibration, oil pollution, and humidity of heavy equipment can easily cause the joint to loosen, corrode, and water ingress, leading to communication failures. The reliability design of joints is mainly reflected in the structure and contact mode. Structurally, integrated molded joints are used to reduce splicing gaps and prevent moisture and oil contamination from entering; Add sealing gaskets and waterproof fillers inside the joint to further enhance its protective performance.
In terms of protection technology, the connectors are designed with a waterproof rating of IP67 or above, and in some special scenarios, the connectors can reach an IP68 rating, achieving complete dust prevention and long-term water immersion protection; At the same time, the joint surface is coated with oil stain resistant and anti-aging protective coating to resist chemical erosion in the working environment of heavy equipment. In addition, the connection between the joint and the cable is wrapped with a transition sheath to avoid stress concentration during bending, prevent the cable from falling off from the joint, and extend the service life of the joint.
