The J1939 to J1708 cable supports plug-and-play functionality, but proper installation and use can extend its lifespan, ensure stable communication, and prevent malfunctions.

Power off before installation: Before operation, turn off the vehicle power, remove the key, and prevent damage to the ECU or diagnostic equipment due to hot plugging. Check the interfaces: Connect the J1939 port to the new device (diagnostic instrument, on-board terminal), and connect the J1708 port to the original vehicle interface. Confirm the male and female match, align the positioning slot, and avoid damaging the pins by forced insertion.
