Design Features of J1939 to J1708 Cable

From the perspective of connector design, it fully considers the compatibility with J1939 and J1708 devices. The connector on one end is designed for J1939 protocol devices, and its interface shape, pin definition, and electrical characteristics strictly follow the J1939 standard to ensure precise docking when connected to related devices, achieving stable physical and electrical connections. The connector corresponding to the J1708 device on the other end is also designed according to the J1708 standard, ensuring compatibility between devices with different protocols. Moreover, connectors usually have a good locking mechanism, such as threaded connections or buckle designs, to prevent loose connections caused by vibration and other factors during vehicle operation, which may affect data transmission.

The layout of the wires inside the cable has been carefully planned. Different functional wires, such as signal lines for transmitting data and power lines for providing power, are arranged reasonably inside the cable to avoid mutual interference. The design of insulation and shielding layers cannot be ignored. The insulation layer uses high-performance insulation materials to isolate the wires from each other, preventing current leakage and short circuits from occurring. The shielding layer is often made of materials such as metal woven mesh or aluminum foil, surrounding the wire bundle to form an electromagnetic shielding space, blocking the interference of external electromagnetic fields on the internal signals of the cable, ensuring accurate transmission of data in a stable electromagnetic environment.
